Newsletter- February- Pen to Paper
This newsletter is a pause in providing organizational ‘To Do’ ideas. A Valentine’s gift, if you will. Next month we will dive exclusively into Kitchen organization.
There are several times in your life that you may consider actually putting Pen to Paper. Here are some ideas on the subject (with reference links at the end of the news letter)
1) Let’s start with Thank You notes. Have you sent graduation, wedding, baby show, and etcetera never to receive a hand written note of Thanks? Makes one wonder, is that a consideration gathering cobwebs as each person struggles between responsibilities, demands, time for others and them-self.
How do you organize your thoughts around what is appropriate. At present a verbal heart felt ‘thank you’ , an email message or a text message is being accepted.
In any form or format, a hand written Thank You is always appreciated. The hand written ones treasured.
2) Valentine cards and ideas
a) There is no better time to put Pen to Paper whether it being adding
a hand written note to a card. Or creating one of your own. If you just don’t have the time to drop by a store, spend time at the card isle in order to find just the right card — know that you can create a simple one that is certain to be a wonderful memory. Or, send a special gift note with the monthly gift card subscription as a gift.
- b) Write a “this entitles you to”…. card
- c) Help save memories by taking those home videos, a box full of
polaroid’s, slides, tapes, pictures, of your loved one’s choice and have them digitally preserved.
d) Give them a certificate to create a video that will keep stories alive for generations to come.
e) Charm someone! A cancer survivor has created a charm company with items that encourage Tranquility, Fresh Start, Protection, Healing, and Compassion.
f) So it’s Valentine’s day ….. “Who Gives a Crap” … is a company that makes toilet paper with 100% recycled material. Plus it gives one half of the proceeds to hygiene and water access in underdeveloped countries.
By putting Pen to Paper you give of yourself and your note carries an authentic meaning. I have a collection of notes I’ve received over the years. They’re saved because the person took the time to write out their personal thought and share it with me.
Allow this to be my personal note to each of you:
May the light, love, power and presence of your Higher Power surround you , protect you and cause your heart to rejoice!
